GERES Southeast Asia is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Fundraising and Partnerships (FRP) Coordinator. The position is based in Phnom Penh, with occasional travel to the province. The FRP Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Regional Director.
The Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will ensure GERES Southeast Asia is aware of and takes advantage of opportunities for external funding of Programs and operational activities. Additionally, (s)he will research and network with potential partner organizations to ensure that GERES Southeast Asia activities can be implemented with a holistic approach, recognizing competencies where we do not have the comparative advantage to operate and establishing strategic partnerships with external partners who can add value or in parallel carry out complimentary activities.
Duties and responsibilities
The Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Provide the Management Team and Project Managers with timely information on funding opportunities (private and public), formats and guidelines
• Network and carry out research to identify potential partners for GERES Southeast Asia in the region including Cambodia, Myanmar... and maintain up to date the fundraising database
• Coordinate proposals preparation, editing and quality control to meet donor’s requirements. Ensure both GERES and external good practices are incorporated, particularly for cross cutting issues
• Act as the focal point for the relationship with the external donor or potential partner for development of proposals and partnerships (unless otherwise decided by the management team)
• Ensure that the administration and operation obligations of those agreements are met.
• The FRP Coordinator will draft the Fundraising strategy and maintain the yearly Roadmap, budget and coordination tools.
• Support the capacity building of project managers to help them produce technical and financial reports to donors through training and mentoring.
• Participate in external events to raise awareness of GERES work (global and regional)
Requirements
• BA level or above in Business Development/Sales, Marketing & Communications, Development Studies, or relevant field.
• Project Cycle Management
• Minimum 4 years relevant international experience
• Strong experience of resource mobilization with proven track record
• Experience in Energy or Environment field an asset
• Proactive research skills
• Proficient professional English, with excellent writing and editorial qualities
• Excellent skill in Logical Framework Development and Analysis
• Excellent interpersonal & marketing skills, ability to establish contact with people from different background and culture
• Organization and attention to detail especially meeting deadlines
• Proficient in working with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Dynamic and results oriented
• Social and outgoing
Start date : As soon as possible from 15th February 2016
Position conditions
• Duty station: Phnom Penh (Cambodia)
• Full time contract
• French Expatriate Contract (CDDU) for 12 months renewables
• Remuneration according to profile, experience and GERES internal policy
